Underwater rugby was developed in Germany in the 1960s and has since gained popularity around the world. Skill: Underwater rugby requires a combination of endurance, strength and apnea training. Requirement: Only for absolute water lovers with extreme fitness. Players usually only stay in the water for one to three minutes before being swapped with their replacement partners because underwater rugby is so physically demanding. Motoball: Motorcycle meets football

Motoball is a team sport played on motorcycles. The aim is to get a ball with a diameter of 40 cm and a weight of 1200 grams into the opponent’s goal. Players can use both their feet and the front and rear wheels of their motorcycles to score goals.

The game is played between two teams, each consisting of four field players and a goalkeeper who plays without a motorcycle. Motoball is basically soccer with wheels and engines. Skill: Soccer talent is an advantage, as is a certain level of safety on a motorcycle.

Requirement: You have to be fearless and brave. The goalkeeper needs courage in particular, as he has to move on foot between all the big motorcycles. You don’t need a driving license. Equipment: For protection, the players wear a helmet, special motoball shoes, lower leg protectors, knee and elbow pads, a torso protector with a kidney belt, gloves and, of course, a motorcycle.

Roller Derby – Don’t be afraid of physical contact!

Roller derby is a fast-paced, action-packed full-contact sport played on roller skates. In a roller derby game, two teams compete on an oval track. The goal is for the “jammers” to score points by rolling through the opposing team and overtaking the opposing jammer.

They have to fight their way through the defense of the opposing “blockers”. Roller derby is originally a women’s sport, but is now also played by men and in mixed teams. The sport is known for its intense physical interaction and its passionate fan base.

Feel like Harry Potter for once: Quidditch – Quadball

Quidditch combines elements of ball sports such as handball, dodgeball and rugby and offers a unique and complex game experience in which a lot of things happen at the same time and which requires the players’ full concentration. There is a position to suit every player. Quadball sees itself as an inclusive sport, is open to all genders and is played in mixed teams.

Although the sport originated in the world of Harry Potter, it has developed into an independent and fast-growing team sport that is played worldwide in leagues, tournaments and with a strong international community. Ability: People of all genders and previous sporting experience are welcome – even newcomers to the sport can quickly learn and play quadball.

The opposing team’s bowler attempts to dismiss the batsman by throwing the ball down the wicket. Skill: Players must master the basic skills of batting, bowling and fielding. These include correct batting stance and technique, correct throwing of the ball, and fielding to effectively stop and return the ball. Cricket requires an understanding of tactics and strategy, including the ability to read the flow of play.

Sport: Disc Golf Short description:

Disc golf is a sport similar to golf, in which you throw a Frisbee from the launching point into a basket with as few attempts as possible. As with golf, there is a set course with individual holes. On each hole, each player throws his disc from the marked launching point.

Then all players throw from where their disc landed. This is repeated until everyone has thrown their disc into the basket. Then the number of throws per lane is noted for each player. At the end of the round, the throws for all lanes are added together.
