In addition, “Wellness Tips” help4 Helps users achieve personal fitness goals by providing insights, motivational tips, and guidance for their specific goal.

Precision and accuracy

Accurate and comprehensive measurements are the foundation for solid insights into physical wellbeing. Algorithms and advanced tracking tools combined with AI can provide holistic, personalized and actionable insights.

Because good health starts with a good night’s sleep, Samsung is improving its AI algorithm for sleep measurement to provide users with additional, in-depth insights. Newly added sleep indicators provide sleep insights and enhance sleep quality to better understand sleep patterns and develop better habits. These additional factors include movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate and breathing rate during sleep, in addition to the factors already supported such as snoring, blood oxygen level and sleep cycle.

Train almost like the pros – thanks to intelligent performance analyses

New fitness features provide intelligent measurements of physical performance for coordinated training, as traditionally provided by specialized devices. In addition to the five running intensity levels of the Personalized Health Rate Zone, the new detailed heart rate zone metrics for the aerobic threshold (AT) and the anaerobic threshold (AnT) support5 efficient running and quick performance analysis. In addition, cyclists can measure FTP (Functional Threshold Power) in about 10 minutes6 By using a personalized performance index based on AI data analysis, they can improve their performance based on that and train almost like the pros. Fitness tracking tools also help track training and personal progress.

With the new workout routine, different exercises can be combined for an individual workout and seamlessly connected to the next exercise without interrupting the workout. For more motivation, users can track their own progress when running or cycling with “Race”7 that compares current and past performance on the same routes.

“By extending the power of Galaxy AI across our entire ecosystem, we aim to open up new possibilities with optimized and connected experiences that offer users more personalization and intelligence,” said Junho Park, VP and Head of Galaxy Ecosystem Product Planning, MX Business at Samsung Electronics. “The Galaxy AI features on Galaxy Watch are just the beginning of this process, and we look forward to unveiling even more integrations across our entire Samsung Galaxy portfolio soon.”

These new features will be available on the next Samsung Galaxy Watch series with One UI 6 Watch, which will be available later this year. A limited number of pre-selected Samsung Galaxy Watch users will get early access to the beta program starting in June. This is just a small taste of what Samsung has in store for Galaxy users to showcase the full power of Galaxy AI combined with the advanced hardware upgrades of the new Galaxy Watch series.

5 Heart rate zone personalization enabled when selecting outdoor running activity. It is required to run continuously for more than 10 minutes at a speed of 4 km/h or faster.
6 To measure personal FTP, the Galaxy smartphone must be connected to a power meter. To calculate a more accurate FTP, it is necessary to connect the Samsung Galaxy Watch to a smartphone. FTP is calculated automatically when cycling at medium to high intensity for more than 4 minutes with the power meter attached to the bike. Using machine learning, the more often users repeat the FTP values, the more accurate and individual they are calculated. The cycling power meter is sold separately. The conventional FTP analysis takes on average up to 1 hour with professional devices.
